South Carolina Delegate The Southeast US-Japan Association Joint Meetings 1988, 2002, 2003, 2004
The Association was created in 1976 to develop and promote trade, investment and friendly ties between Japan and seven states.

Board of Directors Jobs Economic Development Authority (JEDA)
The purpose of JEDA is to develop the business and economic welfare of the State of South Carolina through loans, investments, and the financial promotion of export of goods and services produced within the State.

Such efforts are aimed at providing maximum opportunities for the creation and retention of jobs by the small and middle market business sector.

Committee Member Land Use, Property Rights, and Environment Committee
The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® strives to be the collective force influencing and shaping the real estate industry. It seeks to be the leading advocate of the right to own, use, and transfer real property.

Founded in 1908, NAR has grown from its original nucleus of 120, to over 800,000 members today. REALTORS® are involved in residential and commercial real estate as brokers, salespeople, property managers, appraisers, counselors and others. Elizabeth Belenchia has been elected 8 times to the National Association of Realtors.

Committee goals include assisting in the process of positioning REALTORS® and REALTOR® associations in the forefront of the legal and policy debate on Smart Growth issues and the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) at the local, state and federal levels. http://www.realto r.org

Board of Directors Business Carolina
Business Carolina is a not-for-profit, statewide development finance institution that provides innovative financial products and capacity-building services to promote growth and competitiveness of new and existing, small and medium-sized businesses in South Carolina.

We complement private-sector activities through a variety of lending programs designed to fill gaps in funding often faced by these businesses, especially in rural and distressed areas of South Carolina. http://businesscarolina.net

Trustee The SIOR Educational Foundation's (SIOREF) mission is to promote, sponsor, and support education research initiatives that advance professionalism in the commercial real estate industry.

SIOREF is a non-profit foundation, independent of the Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS®. Established in 1962 to publish the industry’s first graduate-level textbook on industrial real estate, SIOREF has maintained its dedication to expanding understanding of the commercial real estate industry. International Advisory Board University of South Carolina Spartanburg (USCS)
The International Advisory Board was established with the purpose of having local and international members of the community advise the University of any kind of international activity that takes place locally as well as to support our international activities. Board of Directors Off-Campus, Distance and Continuing Education
The Office of Off-Campus, Distance & Continuing Education sponsors, develops and implements hundreds of seminars, conferences, symposia and short courses each year in a wide variety of fields.

Member of Government Affairs Committee The purpose of this committee is to monitor and recommend actions and strategies on legislative and regulatory matters affecting the development, sale, transfer and value of real estate, such as indoor air quality, hazardous substances, wetlands and coastal development, lead-based paint, flood plain management, and the availability and protection of water supplies.

Appointed by SIOR as International Advisory Council Responsible for expanding membership internationally and will be seeking Qualified Industrial Specialists.
